Low Barn Cottage

Low Barn is a wonderful spacious cottage, full of character, with stunning views south to the Lake District fells and its own enclosed garden. 

 

It has a unique split-level, open plan layout… Its kitchen and dining area is separated by a traditional hay rack which gives the cottage enormous character. Its large lounge has exposed beams, a woodburning stove, a 37'' LCD TV with digital Freeview and a Blueray/DVD Player. 

 

Its kitchen is well equipped with a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, washer-dryer and dishwasher and from the kitchen and dining area, double patio doors open out on to the garden.

 

Low Barn Cottage has two bedrooms - one double and one twin and a bathroom complete with bath and shower.  Private parking is available right outside the cottage door too.

  • The entrance door is 80cm wide and is solid wood.

  • Bathroom and dining kitchen are on the same level as the entrance.

  • Five steps lead down to the living area.

  • Seven steps lead up to the bedrooms.

  • Entrance hall and kitchen are tiled floors.

  • Bedrooms, lounge and landing are carpeted.

  • A cloth sofa and two arm chairs are the main seating in the living area.

  • Bedroom 1 – First Floor: Double bedroom accessed through a 76cm wide door. Double bed, separate bedside drawers, clearance space of at least 70cm to each side. Dressing table at an approx height of 85cm has cupboard below.Built in wardrobe with high shelf and hanging rail below. There is a chest of drawers and chair along the far wall. Low beam towards the edge of the room and sloping ceiling.

  • Bedroom 2 – First Floor: Twin bedroom accessed through a 76cm wide door. Twin beds are against each wall with a gap of approx 50cm between. One set of bedside drawers between beds. Chest of drawers below a wall hung mirror. Built in wardrobe with high shelf and hanging rail below.

  • House Bathroom: Situated on same floor as entrance to the cottage (down 6 stairs from the bedrooms). Accessed through a 76cm wide door, bathroom lock on door. Toilet, wash hand basin, shower over bath, towel ladder. Vinyl flooring.
